| Cabopino
Cabopino
is one of the Costa Del Sol's best kept secrets.
With it's beautiful beach, relaxed atmosphere,
picturesque harbour and quay front
restaurants, Cabopino is undoubtedly a real hidden jewel. Meaning
'Pine Cape', the forest of pine trees comes
right down to the sand dunes along the beach.
Parking is easy and close to the beach.
Development
has been strictly controlled in Cabopino and the
tower blocks so characteristic along the Costa's
shoreline are noticeable by their absence.
There
is an old fortified watchtower which still
stands by the sand dunes alongside the beach where it's possible to see all along the coast to
Marbella, Gibraltar and Africa beyond, a spectacular backdrop for a
fabulous beach.
The
beach is well sheltered by artificial reefs and
there is a gentle slope to the sea making it
safe and ideal for children. Lifeguards are on
duty throughout the Summer and the sand is clean
and well maintained.
There
are several high quality beach bars which serve
food throughout the day.
